Prompter Settings
Access prompter settings while in Edit Mode.
  • Prompter Speed - set the initial teleprompting speed. Speed can be adjusted during prompting.

  • Countdown - optional numeric countdown before teleprompting starts.

  • Show Timers - display timer information at the very top of the teleprompting screen

  • Auto Hide Controls - onscreen teleprompting controls will disappear after 5 seconds of inactivity. Tap on the screen anytime to reveal the controls again.

  • Show Guide - the Guide is a small white triangular pointer to the left of the teleprompting screen that helps the reader (talent) and operator track which line is currently being read.

  • Show Cue - Cue points are designated by a special "star" icon. This options allows you to hide this icon during teleprompting (a way to reduce distraction for the reader).

  • Mirror Text - aka horizontal text flip, is used for traditional through-the-glass or podium style teleprompter systems. There is no need for a vertical text flip because the iPad works in any orientation.

  • 2nd Monitor Setup - with Elite Prompter, you can connect a 2nd monitor using Apple's HDMI or VGA AV Adapter or an Apple TV (see Apple TV for Setup instructions). With a 2nd monitor connected, you have 4 configuration options.

    1. Text Flip iPad and 2nd Monitor - run 2 through-the-glass or podium teleprompter systems simultaneously.
    2. Text Flip iPad only - use iPad as through-the-glass or podium teleprompter system, use 2nd monitor for the teleprompter operator.
    3. Text Flip 2nd Monitor only - use a through-the-glass or podium teleprompter system, use iPad as operator monitor and controller
    4. No Text Flip - use iPad or 2nd monitor has an above-the-glass teleprompter system

Bluetooth Keyboard Commands
Elite Remote Setup

Setting up Elite Prompter to work with Apple TV
With an Apple TV, you can wireless send your teleprompting session from your iPad to your Apple TV!
1.  Make sure that your iPad and Apple TV are connected to the same WiFi (wireless internet) network. For best performance, please ensure that both devices receive a strong WiFi signal.

2.  Enable AirPlay on your Apple TV by going to Settings -> AirPlay and set AirPlay to "On".

3.  Enable AirPlay Mirror on your iPad by double pressing on your iPad's home button to reveal the multitask footer bar. Swipe left on the footer bar to access your multimedia controls. Tap on the AirPlay icon, select Apple TV and turn on Mirroring.

4.  After you have completed these steps, your TV will mirror your iPad.

5.  When you open Elite Prompter, your Apple TV display will read "Ready for Prompting." Now when you start your teleprompting session, your Apple TV display will teleprompt alongside your iPad.

6.  You also have the ability to text flip either on the Apple TV display and/or your iPad's display (see Prompter Settings for instructions).
